For absorbing oil on the surface of the water, products of type I and II in granules are used in many cases. We suggest, for this application, PP fleece material (pads or pad rolls), due to the fact that granulates soiled with oil can not always be completely recovered from the surface of the water. Alternatively to granulated products, the oil absorbent flakes are utilized everywhere where PP pads or PP pad rolls can not be employed (e.g. reed areas). Furthermore, flakes` oil absorption capacity is many times higher than granulates` one.
